We're proud to share that our student Green Bandana Team is now trained and ready to continue launching this important project. This student-led effort is focused on promoting mental health awareness, building a culture of kindness and support, and showing that it's always okay to ask for help.

Congratulations to our Panthers on their first XC meet of the season Wednesday at the Kilpela Farm.
In the middle school boys race, out of 64 runners, Dane Guidotti finished 31st, Benett Larson finished 30th, Chase Aho finished 28th, and Karl Zimmer finished 13th.
In the varsity girls race, Clare Zimmer finished 42nd, Kayla Aho finished 38th, Oriana Olson finished 34th, Jordan Holombo finished 21st, and Sylvia Aho finished 5th.
In the varsity boys race, Tanner Elenich finished 35th, Rylan Larson finished 25th, and Nick Aho finished 20th.

We hope you’ve been enjoying a wonderful summer! Our staff has been hard at work getting ready for another awesome school year, and we have some key info and dates to share with you!

✔️ Tuesday, September 2 – First Day of School 😀
✔️ Friday, September 12 – No School for Students (Full-day Teacher PD) 😀
📅 The full 2025–26 school calendar will be posted shortly after approval at Monday’s board meeting. It’s similar in structure to last year’s calendar.

🎓 MS/HS Course Scheduling:
***Students entering grades 9–12 are invited to come in next week to preview the course schedule and choose elective preferences.***

Students entering grades 6–8 will have a mix of core and rotation-based electives. Band participation is an option—please email Mrs. Beth Hillstrom (hillstromb@cts.k12.mi.us) or stop by the office if interested.

We spent some time together K-12 yesterday enjoying some end-of-year fun! Starting with an assembly to celebrate the end of May is Mental Health Month, we then transitioned outside in grade pairs to rotate through a series of activity stations planned and ran by our awesome staff!
Chassell students have done a fantastic job starting plants this semester and now have an abundance to share!
We currently have a variety of plants that are ready to go home to your gardens. Please stop by the plant stand located just inside the school entrance to check them out—more plants will be added soon!
Mrs. Arens in the Superintendent’s Office will be collecting payment/donations for the plants.
A big thank-you to Mrs. Squires’ and Mr. Normand’s classes for their hard work and dedication!
ATTN: Naomi's bus will be running approximately 10 minutes late this morning after encountering road construction. Tam will be picking up some Chassell town students instead, so the town times may be closer to normal. Sorry for any inconvenience!
