After graduation from Chassell High School, Stephen Spahn went on to get an environmental engineering degree from Michigan Technological University. He also acquired a physical science major and a math minor for teaching. He was an engineer for about five years, then decided to teach high school and began his career as a science and math teacher at Chassell High School.
